The data shows that Pete was a T/Sgt and later a Master/Sgt in the 756 BS Engineering Section. This unusual 15th Air Force Certificate Of Merit for now Master Sgt Pete Chemeras was issued to Ptee toward the end of the European War as the signatures on the certificate are those of the Commanding Officer of the 459th B G and the CO of the 304th Bomb Wing who replaced Col Mooney in the 459th and the Brig. Gereral of the 304th B W. Thus the Date should be late April 1945 or May of 1945. Notice that Pete has also received the Bronze Star and the Good Conduct Medals.
